RSMB Output Monitoring System

The RSMB Output Monitoring System is a fast, easy to use Web-based system which tracks trends in TV viewing over time. The system contains data from January 1992 to the latest BARB week and covers all BARB reported channels and regions, for over 200 demographic groups.

A web browser, such as Internet Explorer, is the only technical requirement needed for a client to access these data. Analysis set-up is via the web system screens and analysis results are returned to the user in Excel spreadsheet and chart format via e-mail.

Periods such as individual weeks, calendar months, quarters, years and broadcast schedule periods can be defined within the system and averages produced based upon these periods.
Users may set up their own selections of attributes for analysis.

• Average Hours of Viewing
• Average Audience in 000s
• Television Ratings
• Universes
• Channel Share

Which can be analysed by the following attributes :

• Channel (including Cable and Satellite channels)
• Demographic group
• ITV/Channel 4/BBC area
• Daypart (These are fully flexible – data are processed down to individual quarter hour)
• Day of Week
