The skills of RSMB ’s key people are the company’s prime asset. Brief biographies of our key staff are set out below.

Steve Wilcox
Managing Director
Steve has over 20 years experience in audience research and is one of the UK ’s leading statisticians in media research.
After a number of years at NOP and Audits of Great Britain, he joined RSMB as a founding director in 1987.
During his time at RSMB , Steve has developed many new design features for the operation, management and output of the BARB TV audience measurement panel. This has extended to other media and other countries, and Steve is an acknowledged expert in statistical design, analysis, audience modelling and data fusion.
Steve is a regular speaker at seminars and conferences. |

Andy Chapman
IT Director
Andy has over twenty years experience in market research, starting at Audits of Great Britain in 1984 as a statistician. He joined RSMB when it was formed in 1987 and is responsible for managing all RSMB's information systems. He has a wide range of experience of designing and building systems to process all types of research and marketing information data, including all RSMB's BARB panel management and quality control software systems. Over the years Andy has developed a number of statistically based numerical algorithms, including the pioneering RSMB data fusion algorithm.

Roger Gane
Research Director
Roger is one of the UK's leading audience researchers, with over forty years’ experience in the market and media research industry.
Prior to joining RSMB in 2004, he was for seven years Managing Director of Ipsos-RSL, the media research division of Ipsos UK where he had overall responsibility for industry contracts conducted for BARB, RAJAR and the NRS, as well as a range of syndicated media studies.
Previously, Roger was the first Managing Director of RAJAR, which he ran from 1992 to 1997. Earlier in his career he worked for both media owners and major market research companies. |

Noel O'Sullivan
Chief Statistician
Noel O'Sullivan is Chief Statistician for RSMB Television Research Ltd, having joined RSMB in 1995. He has obtained an upper second class degree in Statistics from Bath University.
Responsibilities include specifying the methodology used in the BARB contract, quality controlling the overall service and providing general statistical consultancy.
Noel is also involved in the sample design and quality control for the RAJAR contract.
Noel has designed and undertaken fusion projects for RSMB, including the fusion element of the IPA Touchpoints service.

Debbie Hurley
BARB Project Manager
Debbie joined RSMB in 1998 after graduating with honours in mathematics and statistics. Over the years her role has embraced responsibilities for development of audience calculation methodology, sampling errors and a variety of related statistical projects. Debbie is Project Manager on RSMB’s contract for the BARB 2010 service.

Mike Thomas
IT Manager
Mike has been at RSMB since 1990 and currently combines managing the IT department with various software development, data processing and hardware/software/network support. Mike holds an honours degree in Natural Philosophy from Glasgow University. |

Anne Robshaw
Technical Client Services Manager
Anne has been in the media research industry since 1991working on both supplier and client-side. She has previously worked for RSMB and ATR (now AGB Nielsen Media Research) in the panel and client service departments. She has also worked in the research and strategy areas for leading broadcasters including Carlton, Flextech and NBC Universal. Anne returned to RSMB to manage the company's audience measurement contract for RAJAR and also takes responsibility for the client service department. |
