2018 asi International Radio & Audio and Television & Video Conferences

Delegates from RSMB joined industry opinion formers from around the globe in Athens for the asi International Radio & Audio and Television & Video Conferences on 7th-9th November.

Once again RSMB were delighted to sponsor the Tony Twyman Award for best paper at both conferences.

The winner of the Radio & Audio Award was Ian Garland of Milton Data for his paper City Mouse – Country Mouse: bringing the Big Smoke to the Bush. Ian’s paper outlined work to create reliable R&F estimates from survey data for smaller regional markets without using more expensive diary collection methodology.

The TV & Video Award winner was Julien Rosanvallon from Médiamétrie. Julien’s paper tackled the issues of whether four-screen measurement can measure online video advertising effectively and link to adserver ecosystems. Julien asked the question whether existing systems can become actual trading and planning currencies in his paper Making four-screen measurement fit for purpose

Congratulations to both Ian and Julien.

In the TV & Video ‘Measurement Challenge’ session Steve Wilcox, RSMB’s Managing Director, presented RSMB’s view on the role of return path data in TAM panels asking if there is a danger of sacrificing accuracy for more precision? Find this paper and others in the Resources section.
